Measuring Up for Men
How Do I Measure Myself?
Knowing your measurements will ensure a comfortable fit. Not sure of your size? No problem. Here are easy, step-by step directions to help you collect these vital statistics.
| | Collar | Take a similar shirt with a collar that fits you well. Lay the collar flat and measure the inside of the collar from the button knot to the middle of the button hole. Number of inches = size.
| | Sleeve | Bend elbow slightly. Start at the centre back of neck (under the collar) and measure across the top of the shoulder and down the back of the arm, around the elbow, to the wrist. Number of inches = size.
| | Waist: Pants | Measure around waist, over body (not over shirt or slacks). Keep one finger between tape and body.
| | Belts | Order one size larger than your waist size. If between “even” sizes, order the next larger size.
| | Pant Alterations | Pant alterations require expert, personal measurement and will be shipped unhemmed in requested size. Please visit our Leslie Street store, or consult your local tailor once pants are received.
| | Men's Dress Shirt Sizes | To simplify our sizing and to improve our in-stock position, we are taking a page from the European Designer’s Handbook and switching to three, easy to remember, sleeve lengths.
R=32/33
L=34/35
T=36/37
Please take note of your new, European sleeve length as either Regular, Long, or Tall when placing your next order.
