The Shirt Store is a manufacturer and retailer of fine 100% cotton dress shirts. The company, founded in 1987, services a world wide customer base with a line of shirts designed by Carol Konop, the owner and President of the company. The Shirt Store's original store is located in the heart of New York's fashionable men's retail district. Nestled among the towering office buildings and majestic Grand Central Station, it nevertheless has an ambiance reminiscent of small town America. The Shirt Store has a friendly relaxed atmosphere where the customer is welcomed and serviced efficiently. Pretzels and candy can be found on the counter and there is a telephone available should a customer need one.
We believe that our most important asset is our customer and that their sole purpose is to satisfy his needs. Given the vast inventory and shirt selection available—the largest in New York—we seldom fail.
Our client base has grown to over 50,000. In order to enhance our ability to service our customers, we have developed a computer system that allows us to track the customer's purchases, collar, cuff and fabric preferences, his measurements and alteration needs, so that when he comes in or calls he is in "his" store.
The result has been repeat business and customer referrals. We have a mail order division that does business world wide. Our approach, as in our retail store, is personal service and our goal is customer satisfaction. We show swatches of all fabrics available on our website making ordering easy. We also have a B2B sales division which offers product from our line as well as customized product flexible enough to fill individual product needs.
The Shirt Store label has received design recognition worldwide, as well as media attention from publications such as GQ, Crain's, Forbes, Your Company, Sales & Marketing Magazine, MR Magazine, New York Magazine, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. Carol Konop has also been a featured guest on radio and TV shows, including NBC Nightly News. In addition, The Shirt Store is well known throughout Broadway Theater, having furnished shirts for the stars and casts of numerous shows including Grand Hotel, Crazy for You, The Will Rogers Follies, Penn & Teller, Sunset Boulevard, Show Boat, Moon Over Buffalo, A Christmas Carol, Phantom of The Opera, Victor/Victoria, Jekyll & Hyde, Titanic, Jesus Christ Superstar, Kiss Me Kate, 42nd Street, Chicago, Putting It Together, Annie Get Your Gun, Minellion Minelli, The Iceman Cometh, Saturday Night Fever, Thoroughly Modern Millie, A Year With Toad and Frog, Wonderful Town and The Great Gatsby at the Metropolitan Opera House. Carol has written a book, The Shirt Book, that has received favorable reviews and is available free on our website. It is easy to read and answers questions about collar styles, sleeve lengths, the history of shirts, construction, colors, fabrics, styles, monogramming, pockets, and terminology as well as the "Basic Dozen" shirts necessary for every man's wardrobe. It has received favorable reviews. The former editor of GQ (Gentlemen's Quarterly), Arthur Cooper urged the clothes-conscious to "Read this book before you buy another shirt and tie."

In the mid 1990s, three Canadian businessmen formed justwhiteshirts.com to provide professionals like them the opportunity to buy high quality, 100% cotton dress shirts, silk ties and socks at reasonable prices.
To help men out, justwhiteshirts.com embarked on a mission to design our own dress shirts to a world class standard. Judging from customer testimonials, we are proud to say that mission has been accomplished.
Using the finest fabrics from around the world, our dress shirts feature a generous cut and meticulous single needle tailoring. Our buttonholes are stitched 144 times to ensure non-ravel wear. Our collars are designed with removable stays and the finest linings, producing an immaculate finish that appears soft and crisp after each wash.
